Lucknow: The Lucknow branch of the Akhil Bharatiya Marwari Yuva Manch organised a Cyclothon and Walkathon on Sunday to promote health awareness and encourage people, particularly young participants, to adopt an active lifestyle.
More than 400 participants, including youngsters, schoolchildren and sportspersons, took part in the event with enthusiasm. Lucknow North MLA Dr Neeraj Bora, who attended the programme as the chief guest, encouraged the participants and appreciated the initiative.

The Cyclothon began at Maharaja Agrasen Public School, Jankipuram, and covered a designated route across the surrounding area before concluding at the school premises.
Marwari Yuva Manch executive member Siddharth Gupta said the organisation conducts the Cyclothon and Walkathon every year with the objective of creating greater awareness about health and fitness. This year, both cycling and walking were incorporated into the event to encourage wider participation.
Following the completion of the sporting activities, participants also took part in a Zumba session, adding an element of fitness and entertainment to the programme.

The event was attended by Gaurav Goyal, Provincial Coordinator, Youth Development; Shishir Agrawal, President; Dr Suyash Agrawal, Secretary; Pramesh Mittal, Treasurer; and Suresh Agrawal of Hyundai, among others.
Madan Agrawal of Agrawal Cycle sponsored the bicycles for the event.
The organisers said the enthusiastic participation of more than 400 people reflected growing awareness about the importance of cycling, walking and regular physical activity for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The event also sought to inspire young people to incorporate fitness into their daily routines.
